- In Events Board, Events holds the schedule; Boards enables or suspends objects; Subscribers and Reminders track usage.
- The owner grants Events Board access in Team and access. Each manager uses their own account and permissions.
- The board’s Dashboard menu opens management for authorised users. Solutions HUD also lets you view and manage events according to your permissions.

- Visitors choose one event or all current and future events in the network. Newsletter subscription remains separate.
- Reminders are scheduled 1 hour, 30 minutes, 5 minutes before and at the start. New subscriptions receive upcoming reminders; past ones are not replayed.
- One available board sends reminders. Another takes over if needed, normally within about three minutes.
- Recipients in the board’s region receive a private local message; otherwise the board sends an IM. Web-generated replies use the avatar’s supported language, with English as fallback.
- Second Life does not confirm IM receipt. A sending incident may cause a missed reminder; the system avoids blindly resending it.

- Check the Events Board licence is active and the board is enabled in Events Board → Boards.
- Without a notecard, the object owner is the expected licence holder. With Events Board Config, check OWNER_UUID.
- Check scripts are running and allowed on the land. After replacing scripts, check compilation before resetting Main.
- On network errors, the board keeps its last valid display and retries progressively. Repeated resets are unnecessary.

- Events Board is a standalone offer. When on sale, the Solutions Licences terminal shows its price, duration and terms to confirm before payment.
- The solution pack and Solutions HUD are delivered together. The licence terminal also offers redelivery of objects covered by your licence.
- The licence covers the holder’s network. Visitors browse and subscribe free; they do not buy a licence.
- An expired or suspended licence blocks new board exchanges. Renew through Solutions Licences.
Link to this article ↗Can I place boards using another avatar or at a partner’s location?Events Board · Start
- Yes. Add a notecard named exactly Events Board Config to the board’s root.
- Write OWNER_UUID= followed by the licence holder’s Second Life UUID. Without this notecard, the object owner identifies the network.
- After registration, the board appears in the holder’s network. The network owner can disable it from the dashboard.
- The holder’s UUID identifies the network; it does not grant web account access. Grant manager permissions separately in Team and access.

- Open Events → Create event. Enter a title, optional subtitle and poster texture. Set your usual destination in Configuration as Region/x/y/z.
- Leave Alternative destination for this event empty to use the default, or enter Region/x/y/z if it is elsewhere. Default destination changes apply to events with an empty field; individual destinations stay unchanged.
- Choose the SLT date and time, duration in minutes and recurrence. Without a default location, the event destination is required.
- Leave Published event unchecked to keep a draft. Check it and save to display the event on boards.
- The form accepts 80 characters for the title and 120 for the subtitle. Boards show their first 24 characters; the dialog provides details.
- Ended events stay in the dashboard but disappear from boards. The service holds up to 200 events: remove old entries you no longer need.
- After saving, the site asks boards to refresh over HTTP. If a board cannot receive this request, regular sync retrieves the changes.
Link to this article ↗Which time should I use and how do I set recurrence?Events Board · Use service
- Dates use Second Life time (SLT), the Los Angeles time zone. The service handles seasonal clock changes.
- Choose Once, Weekly, Every two weeks, Monthly on the same date or Monthly on the same weekday.
- For monthly recurrence on the same date, the 31st becomes the last day of a shorter month, then returns to the 31st when available.
- Same weekday retains its ordinal position, such as the second Saturday. A missing fifth Saturday skips to the next month that has one.
- The 12/24-hour setting changes board formatting, not the schedule’s time zone.
Link to this article ↗How does a visitor subscribe or unsubscribe?Events Board · Use service
- Touch an event row, then Subscribe or Unsubscribe. All parts of the row open the same event.
- All events covers current and future events. Unsubscribe on a row excludes that event; Unsubscribe in All events removes all event reminders without cancelling the newsletter.
- Subscriptions in the board menu opens All events and Newsletter, even without a displayed event. Newsletter requires separate consent; existing event subscribers are never added automatically.
- These choices are shared by all boards in the same network. Subscribing again to All events clears event exclusions.
Link to this article ↗Do different board sizes show the same content?Events Board · Use service
- Yes: every network board uses the same schedule. The build determines the row count; visitor functions stay the same.
- Events are ordered by their next occurrence. The main preview shows an ongoing event or otherwise the next event.
- Page selection is local to each board. It does not change the schedule or subscriptions.
- Shared settings include accent colour, time format and default destination. Each event can override the destination.
Link to this article ↗How do I suspend an event, board or reminders?Events Board · Use service
- To hide an event while keeping its details and subscriptions, edit it and uncheck Published event.
- In Boards, Disable suspends only the selected object. Other boards stay available.
- In Configuration, suspend the whole service, disable reminders or disable only the local start announcement.
- When enabled, the local announcement is sent by the reminder board. It is not repeated on all parcels.
- Deleting an event also deletes its subscriptions and reminder history. Use draft to keep them.
Link to this article ↗Why is my event missing or showing the wrong time?Events Board · Troubleshoot
- Check Published event, SLT date and duration. An ended event without recurrence no longer appears on boards.
- Browse the board’s pages. Changes are notified over HTTP; if unavailable, wait for the next sync. Smaller formats show fewer rows at once.
- Check all boards use the same network holder and the poster texture has a valid UUID.
- Compare your entry with Second Life time, not your computer’s local time. The 12/24-hour format cannot fix a date entered in the wrong zone.
Link to this article ↗Why did a subscriber not receive a reminder?Events Board · Troubleshoot
- Check the event is published, service and reminders are enabled, and at least one board is connected.
- In Subscribers, check the subscription to this event. Subscribing after a reminder time does not send that past reminder.
- Reminders shows messages assigned to a board. It does not prove avatar receipt or reading.
- If all boards are absent, none sends messages. When they return, only still-relevant deadlines are processed.
Link to this article ↗How do I migrate an older standalone board to Events Board 1.0?Events Board · Start
- The connected version uses a web schedule: recreate old events in the dashboard. Standalone data and subscriptions are not imported automatically.
- In the root, remove Access, Data, Display, Editor and Reminder. Install Main, Board, Reminders, Newsletter and Buffer from the connected version; keep the compatible text renderer.
- Build rows run from Picture 1 to Picture 8 without gaps; Picture 11 is the preview. Icon N-1 and Icon N-2 are the date and time for row N.
- Managers are now configured in the dashboard. The old notecard manager list is not imported.
- Compile scripts, reset Main and test subscribing from two boards. A ready-to-use build only needs to be rezzed.
Link to this article ↗Does a reset erase events or subscriptions?Events Board · Troubleshoot
- No. Connected events and subscriptions are stored on the server. Resetting a board restarts its connection.
- Changing the object owner or notecard holder may link the board to another network. Check the holder before changing this setting.
- For help, provide your UUID, the board, attempted action, event name and displayed message. Never send tokens or passwords.
Link to this article ↗How do I send a newsletter and track its statistics?Events Board · Use service
- Add a saved notecard with copy and transfer permissions to the board contents using the normal object editing rights.
- The licence holder and authorized managers have Send newsletter. Choose Send, a notecard, then Send now. Remove one deletes one notecard; Clear deletes all after confirmation, keeping configuration and scripts.
- The board progressively sends batches of eight to newsletter subscribers present when the campaign starts. Opt-outs are checked before each batch. Clicks and reminders remain available during sending.
- After a reset, Resume continues only pending offers on that board. Cancel send cancels further offers. Keep the same notecard throughout the campaign.
- Statistics shows subscribers, campaigns, offered, pending and unconfirmed notecards. Details explain opt-outs and interruptions. Second Life does not confirm receipt: an unconfirmed offer is never automatically repeated.
